About Us

• Sara Benoit, the founder of The Keep, is a TBRI ® Practitioner and is certified in traumatic stress studies.  She has taught bio-parents, foster parents, teachers, school counselors and caseworkers  in the principles and strategies of Trust-based Relational Intervention ®. After receiving her TBRI®  Practitioner, Ms. Benoit has taken numerous courses in trauma and related topics from NICABM and PESI.  (To see a full list visit the blog entitled -  EXPERIENCE and COURSES)  Ms. Benoit served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children from 2015 until 2021.  During her time as a CASA , she worked nine cases and served 20 children.  For nearly a decade Ms. Benoit has devoted herself to helping those who have experienced early childhood trauma and frequnetly end up homeless.

The Keep is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people overcome a history of trauma.  Through education about how trauma affects brain development we believe we can facilitate change.  Once people begin to understand how their history has influenced their present they can make the necessary adjustments to change their future.
